Dave Clemmons Casting will hold auditions for the upcoming (09-10) national tour of The Wizard of Oz. Book by L. Frank Baum; Music & Lyrics by Harold Arlen & E. Y. Harburg with Adaptation by John Kane;Directed by Nigel West; Choreographed by Leigh Constantine; Musical Supervision by John Mezzio; Dave Clemmons Casting, Casting Director. Casting:
DANCER / SINGER ENSEMBLE

MEN: Strong all-around performers 18 and up to play various characters in Munchkinland / Land of Oz. Seeking Strong Singers who move well and Strong Dancers that sing. Especially seeking male dancers who sing Tenor.
Acrobatic skills a bonus. All types and heights encouraged to attend.

WOMEN: Strong all-around performers 18 and up to play various characters in Munchkin land / Land of Oz. Must be very strong dancers. Good technique and partnering skills required. Must be strong singers with legit musical theater sound. Strong soprano a bonus. At least 4 of the females need to be strong sopranos to high B. All types and heights encouraged to attend.
Please note almost all Ensemble tracks understudy a principal role. Open call for male and female dancers Tuesday June 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Chelsea Studios (151 W. 26th Street, 6th floor, New York, NY). Please come prepared to dance. Men please bring character and jazz shoes; women please bring character heels and flat jazz shoes. Please be prepared to sing if asked. Prepare 16 bars of 2 contrasting legit musical theater songs with sheet music in the appropriate key. Songs should show off range (sopranos and tenors please show off your top range) and personality. Accompanist will be provided. All auditioning MUST bring a current head shot and resume, stapled together. All positions are paid. Total tour compensation packet minimum $850 per week (includes: Salary, Health Fund, Housing and Expense Allowance).
