Casting call for Ultra Low Budget/SAG film “The Return”

Galla Pictures Inc. is excited about our newest project “The Return”. It is a sci fi story told in the style of “The Twilight Zone”. We will be shooting on the newest technology: the RED camera. We are a company with experienced individuals that have several projects in development. Casting call for Short Film/Ultra Low Budget/SAG “The Return”.

Audition Dates: June 13,14 (in Burbank)

Shoot Dates: July 17-19. Film will be shot completely in Orange County.

Synopsis:
A man finds himself to be a stranger in his own house.

Seeking:

Michael: Lead / Male / Caucasian – charming young man in early 20s. Must be able to pull of a 50s look, verbal cues, and demeanor/style. Must be able to act effectively with nonverbal acting (scared/panicked/shocked/confused). Actor must be okay with being able to run thru a forest in the opening sequence.

Annie: Lead / Female / Caucasian – gracious, elegant, mature lady . Character is the matriarch of a family going thru a crisis. Must be able to act nonverbally (shocked, confused). Age 65 -85
Ethnicity: Caucasian, Italian, Scandinavian, Slavic / Balkan

DAD: Supporting / Male / Caucasian – mature man in his 50s. He is a brave protective dad when his family is under a possible attack from a stranger who they believe is an alien.

Young Man 1 (Son): Supporting / Male / Caucasian – young man in his 20s who is short tempered. A real hot head who wants to cause harm to Michael.

Old Woman (Mom): Supporting / Female / Caucasian – mature, middle aged woman who can act nonverbally, and deliver lines effectively. Character plays key role in the conflict/tension of the story.Age: 40 to 55

Young Girl 1 (Daughter): Female / Caucasian – young woman in her early 20s who is part of family that finds a stranger in their house.

Boy (Grand Son): Male / Caucasian – boy who around 5 years old who can act nonverbally, and deliver lines effectively. Looking for a child with the “it” factor. Must have expressive eyes that will make an emotional connection to the audience. fcc

Young Man 2 (Friend): Male / Caucasian – Looking for young man in his early 20’s to play supporting friend role to family going thru crisis with a stranger.

Young Girl 2 (Friend): Female / Caucasian – young woman in her early 20s who plays supportive role to family that is going under crisis from a stranger in their house.

Compensation:
Copy, Credit, Meals, and Gas will be provided for all roles. Lead and Supporting Roles will be paid.

We are also looking for an individual to do location audio.
